Teatr Śląski SOLARIS - trailer from Teatr Śląski on Vimeo.
"Solaris" is one of Stanisław Lem's most famous works. It has been translated into numerous languages worldwide. Unlike any other piece of Polish literature, the novel is considered a classic of the science fiction genre. In this adaptation of the novel four actors embody various "real" as well as "unreal" characters. Strong emphasis is also placed on visual projections which play an important role in the director's concept. The play's director and video artist cooperated previously in a production of Teatr Śląski entitled "Barbara Radziwiłłówna z Jaworzna-Szczakowej" / " Barbara Radziwiłłówna from Jaworzno-Szczakowa".
