The concert is based on works by Polish composers Karol Szymanowski, Witold Lutosławski, Andrzej Panufnik and Aleksander Nowak but will be complemented with pieces by two Russian composers Alfred Schnittke ad Edison Denisova. Igor Dronov will conduct the “Studio for New Music Ensemble”.
SNM is a music group specializing in classical music from the 20th century, as well as, in contemporary pieces. It is made up largely of graduates of the Moscow Conservatory.

Witold Lutosławski – “Chain 1” for 14 performers
Witold Lutosławski – “Slides” for 11 soloists
Aleksander Nowak – “Dark-haired Girl in a Black Sports Car”
Panufnik’s “Trains of Thought”, Lutosławski’s “Slides” and Nowak’s “Dark-haired Girl in a Black Sports Car” are enjoying their Russian premieres at this concert.
