More than a hundred screenings take place over the five days of the festival in different cities across three countries. The competition for long feature films makes up the heart of the programme, with four films from each country participating this year
A total of twelve feature films by usually younger German, Polish and Czech film directors compete for the two prizes; the main prize (2,000 Euros), chosen by an international jury, and the audience favorite (500 Euros).

The series entitled "Mauerbau - Innere Emigration - Exil" presents artists, who, for different historic and political reasons left their home country - or recoiled into an "inner emmigration". A Polish accent of this retrospective will consist of the films:
For the first time this year, a special prize will be awarded for the film which has played an important role in the deepening of understanding between the countries. Alongside the films, contact and real exchange between the neighbouring countries is an important goal of the festival. Discussions, public readings, exhibitions and concerts by musicians from the Czech Republic, Germany and Poland round out the programme. Polish and Czech young people will be invited to take part in a film workshop, at the end of which they will have created their own short film.
