The Centre for Contemporary Art Ujazdowski Castle in Warsaw and the Samsung Electronics Poland company announced the winners of the 8th edition of the visual arts contest during Monday's Closing Gala. - "Russian Romance" by Urszula Pieregończuk - Second Prize laureate (10,000 zł) - "primarily for the widely understood diligence, especially in technical aspects".
- the two winners of the Third Prize (7,000 zł):

Mateusz Sadowski's "Home Videos" - "for finding unusual ways in the search for creativity and experimental approach in teetering on the border of film and literature".
The four artists were selected in a two-stage process. In the first stage, the submitted artworks were judged by art critic and independent curator Kamila Wielebska, artist and laureate of the 3th edition of the Samsung Art Master Karol Radziszewski, art critic and Polityka journalist Piotr Sarzyński, and critic and curator of CCA Ujazdowski Castle Stach Szabłowski. 10 finalists were chosen and their artworks displayed at Warsaw's Centre for Contemporary Art, these included; Sylwia Czubała, Jaś Domicz, Piotr Grabowski, Zofia Nierodzińska, Dominika Olszowy, Alexander Pawlik, Urszula Pieregończuk, Wojtek Pustoła, Mateusz Sadowski and Jan Szewczyk. The honorary patronage of the competition is by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage. The contest is co-organised by the Samsung Electronics Poland company and the Centre for Contemporary Art Ujazdowski Castle. The main principle of this project is to maintain the most possible openness: to all media - today's place for artistic expression, to original creative attitudes and to the individuality of artists.
The winners and finalists from previous years include: Karol Radziszewski, Anna Molska, Karolina Breguła, Anna Senkara, Piotr Żyliński.
