For one week, the best of Polish cinema – from comedic blockbusters to internationally-recognized works – have been shown in the Belarusian capital
MOVIĘ, a play on the English word ‘movie’ and the Polish word ‘to speak’, have featured dozens of films over seven days time at free screenings in Minsk at the ARTkino Rubin Plaza. There will be films like “Rejs” or “Seksmisja” shown for those seeking classic Polish comedies or “Reksio” or “Bolek i Lolek” will also be shown, amongst others, for children during matinee screenings.
As well, the week-long programme included showings of Polish films that have won awards at international film festivals or have received jury recognitions, like those works by Krzysztof Krauze, Marek Koterski or Wojciech Smarzowski.
