A play by one of the most famous Polish theatre directors, Krystian Lupa, performed by actors of the Warsaw Dramatic Theatre, will be presented at the Grand Theatres of Tianjin and Beijing.

The world-famous Krystian Lupa production being shown at many differerent festivals will present the life of Marilyn Monroe, stripped of Hollywood glitz and intoxicated with sex and alcohol. The main role will be played by Sandra Korzeniak, an award-winning actress. She will be accompanied by, among others, Katarzyna Figura (a famous Polish actress) as a teacher and the star’s mentor, Marcin Bosak in the role of one of Monroe’s lovers, Piotr Skiba and Władysław Kowalski.

Persona. Marilyn is a play showing the life of Norma Jeane Baker when the spotlight and the cameras are turned off. We meet her in the apartment full of stimulants, fears and men. The director himself has called his art "photographic section", which shows ones inner life with every detail, brutally and without embellishments.
Chinese audience will be able to see Persona. Marilyn in Tianjin on 22nd and 23rd May 2012 and in Beijing on 26th and 27th May 2014.
