Jacek Borcuch's new film is among the selections at this year's CineMart in Rotterdam during the International Film Festival
Produced by Mañana Films, Jacek Borcuch's Lasting Moments (working title) is the first Polish production at CineMart, an industry market event concurrent to the International Film Festival in Rotterdam. On par with the Berlinale Co-Production Market at L'Atelier in Cannes, it presents over 30 films in the final phases of production, many months before their premiere date. Films that take part in CineMart gives filmmakers an opportunity to show their work before significant members and opinion-makers of the international film industry.
The film is the first Polish project at CineMart in many years. The plot revolves around a pair of Polish students who meet when they are in Germany working over the summer holidays. They encounter difficult times that change the easy path of their lives up until now.
Jacek Borcuch's last film
All that I Love qualified for the main competition at the 2010 Sundance Film Festival. It was also shown at the 2010 festival in Rotterdam and in Pusan in 2009. The film was released for distribution in 15 countries, including France, Italy, Spain, Germany, Belgium and Holland.
