Podsumowanie
Tadeusz Kantor in Cricoteka, 1983, Kraków, photo: Tadeusz Rolke / Agencja Gazeta
Inbetween Structures is an exhibition dedicated to the early works of Tadeusz Kantor. It will include a presentation of two, rarely screened films from the late 1950s: Somnambulists and Attention! ...Painting dir
Content
The two films, a particularly fine example of an interaction between painting and film, show the complexity and, at the same time, the openness of Kantor’s idea of art. It’s the only foreign exhibition, showcased on the 100th birthday of Tadeusz Kantor, that focuses on the artist’s works from the 1950-1967 period.
Marc Glöde, a remarkable German historian and film critic, is a curator of the exhibition. Previously Glöde supervised programs such as Art Berlin Contemporary and Art Basel.
The exhibition will be showcased twice: during the Edinburgh Festival Fringe and during the Berlin Art Week.
The project is co-organised by Polish Institute in Berlin, Kraków City Council, Kraków Festival Office and Culture.pl.
