Podsumowanie
The conference "Creative Encounters Asia - Europe. Platform Meeting of Asian and European Cultural Mobility Funders" was held in Prague, Czech Republic. The event was co-organized by the cultural mobility information network On The Move, the Arts and Theatre Institute in Prague and Kelola Foundation in Indonesia.
Content
This was the first such meeting to bring together more than 50 representatives of institutions and cultural organizations from over 30 countries in Europe and Asia. Among participants were the representatives of global players such as British Council, European Cultural Foundation, International Visegrad Fund, Asia-Europe Foundation, Japan Foundation, Korea Arts Management Service and Australia Council for the Arts. The Adam Mickiewicz Institute was represented by the Project Asia Manager, Mr Marcin Jacoby, who will introduced Polish programs of mobility for artists and culture animators as well as the strategy of the AMI's Project Asia. The conference was an important step towards building a better understanding of the institutional programs and strategies, and ways to strengthen cultural cooperation between Europe and Asia. What was particularly valuable about the conference, was including representatives of countries such as China, India, Philippines, Vietnam, Indonesia, Thailand and Bangladesh in the dialogue.
