His Instagram account notifies his fans of his tours with his band and introduces him as a ‘wind-catcher, dream-chaser, truth-seeker, #songwriter, #musician’, in that exact order. The real name of this spiritual artist is Tomasz Busławski. He was born in Rogoźno in Greater Poland Voivodeship.
He performed with big jazz bands such as Kovalczyk Big Band Project and Retro Funk, as well as with the quintet Goryl (with Michał Bryndal from Voo Voo among others) and the gospel band TGD (Third Hour of the Day).
He worked with dub reggae group Sedativa on their album, jammed with hip-hop and jazz musicians, and even accompanied the New York singer Cheryl Pepsii Riley. It turned out, however, that he also has a lot to say as a songwriter and not just as an instrumentalist.
His ballads are delicate and emotive, but they carry a feel of his experience in jamming. Buslav invites other vocalists to his projects – Daniel Wojsa and Jadzia Zarecka – which gives the expressive artist ample room for creativity and makes his live performances unforgettable.
Buslav collaborates with outstanding and well-known musicians such as drummer Marcin Ułanowski (Sistars, Brodka, Ania Dabrowska, Artur Rojek, Smolik). They met as members of Sedativa, which was founded by members of the legendary reggae-funk group Transmission. He also worked with
Anna Maria Jopek, Novika, Mietek Szcześniak, Maciej Maleńczuk and Smolik.
Buslav has also performed with Marika. As a duet they beautifully sang Trees, which appeared on Marta Kossakowska album and performed together on the album Panny wyklęte-wygnane. This very moving project arranged by Darek Malejonka from Maleo Reggae Rockers developed into another moving piece. Buslav and Marika performed a song that tells the story of the most famous bear in Polish history – Piosenka o Wojtku. Buslav played the duduk (an ancient double–reed woodwind flute indigenous to Armenia), which gave the song a Middle Eastern mood.
Buslav uploads his concert versions of covers of foreign artists such as Little Dragon or Capital Cities to YouTube. His solo version of Safe And Sound is brilliant. It comes as no surprise that he has performed Fink’s Yesterday Was Hard On All Of Us as both artist share similar inclination to compose ballads with weighty lyrics. The musical prowess of Buslav's bandmates brings a jazzy sophistication to their music.
Buslav performed at Korean festivals Zandari Fest and Him Con. In Poland, he performed at Slot Art in Lubiąż, Soundrive in Gdańsk, and in April 2016 at Spring Break in Poznań.
