A selection of magazine columns by Jerzy Pilch. The present volume was assembled from texts that Pilch has written for Polityka weekly since 1999. Together they constitute a collection of critical and highly apt commentaries on contemporary Polish reality. In contrast to Pilch's previous offerings, The Fall of a Man... is a very personal book, one in which the author seems to have chosen "a new point of observation with a view towards the new world as it represents itself."
