The exhibition entitled "Zofia Chomętowska Between Frames: Photographs from 1925-1945" is the first in over 30 years comprehensive presentation of the artist's works. Zofia Chomętowska is one of the most known and awarded Polish female photographers of the inter-war years
The exhibition consists of nearly 80 works by Zofia Chomętowska (1902 - 1991), including both never before published photographs, as well as the most famous pieces of the award-winning artist. It focuses on photographs of Polesia, where Chomętowska was born and lived for many years. The exhibition also presents a known documentary series showcasing Warsaw before the war and the ruined, post-war city.
The exhibition takes place in Belarus . The exhibition opens on the 5th of October 2011 at the National Museum of History of the Belarusian Republic and runs through the 13th of November 2011.
