Focus Poland presents an international context for the works of Poland's dynamic art scene, with a number of works to remain in the permanent CSW Toruń collection. According curator Friederike Fast (Museum Marta Herford), the exhibition aims to "reflect the vitality and diversity of the Polish art scene, while also presenting a person insight into the particular social sphere captured in the moment of this dynamic development". The works are connected by the artists' experimental take on their work as they experiment within their artistic environment and leap beyond the limits of human logic.
At the start of 2013 the Znaki Czasu Centre for Contemporary Art in Toruń launched the third edition of its Focus Poland project, aimed at promoting the most promising young Polish artists abroad. Curated by Friederike Fast of the mARTA Museum in Bielefeld, Germany, the show presents the works of Oskar Dawicki, Jacek Malinowski, Agnieszka Polska, Aleksandra Waliszewska and Honza Zamojski.
The exhibition is on show between the 11th of January and 13th of March 2013 at Znaki Czasu CSW Toruń. For more information, see: csw.torun.pl
