The action centres around the activities of a group of twenty-and-thirtysomethings for whom football is everything. Their local team continues to lose and the city withdraws its funding. For Oskar this is a real blow and even though his wife is expecting a child, football-related worries consume his attention. Oskar's friends have a similar outlook on life. Finally, they all get offered the opportunity to become "professional" football fans for the opposing team. Th eplot thickens when a new woman arrives. Soon Oskar is faced with an ultimatum - either he gets a real job or he won't ever see his son...
