The poet will host two events during his stay in the UK. On 5 June in Oxford Tomasz Różycki will meet with Antonią Lloyd-Jones, known in Britain for her translations of his poetry. The conversation will be hosted by Anna Ready from Oxford University Press, and it will focus on Różycki's work as a poet, essayist, and translator. During the event Różycki will read some of his work in Polish, and Antonia Lloyd-Jones will read translations in English. The meeting will also feature commentary from two other translators of Różycki's work: Miry Rosenthal and Bill Johnston.
On 7 June Różycki will appear in Edinburgh. The event will be organized by the bookstore Word Power Books and the Interactive Writing Salon in Scotland, where Różycki will discuss his poetry and its translations in English. The event will be chaired by Ryan van Winkle. There will be readings of his poems in Polish and English. The event is supported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Polish Consulate in Edinburgh.
Admission to the events is free.
Both events are organized and supported by the Institute of Polish Culture in London.
