The FIAC International Contemporary Art Fair is to take place in Paris from 10th to 13th November. The Polish part of its programme includes a presentation of a project by Piotr Zbierski, a show prepared by the Asymetria Gallery, and an exhibition of the most promising young artists, such as Kuba Dąbrowski, Irena Kalicka, Adam Lach, Anna Orłowska, and the Sputnik Photos collective.
The International Paris Photo Art Fair presents photography in all its diversity, from classic photography to contemporary creations. This year, the 20th edition of the event will take place in Grand Palais with 180 exhibitors from all over the world participating.
Polish photography is presented as part of the Polish Paradise programme prepared by three Polish photography festivals – Fotofestival in Łódź, Krakow Photomonth Festival, and the TIFF Festival. The project is co-organised by Culture.pl, Wrocław European Capital of Culture, and the Polish Institute in Paris.
As part of Polish Paradise, the following events will take place: the premiere of the newest edition of The Eyes magazine, dedicated to Polish photography; a discussion with Rafał Milach, Aneta Grzeszykowska, and Adam Mazur; a presentation of Polish photographers like Dominika Gęsicka, Irena Kalicka, Gabriel Orłowski and Igor Pisuk; PhotoPoland, which presents the most promising Polish photographers: Filip Berendt, Kuba Dąbrowski, Jacek Fota, Dominika Gęsicka, Magda Hueckel, Irena Kalicka, Adam Lach, Tomasz Lazar, Diana Lelonek, Anna Orłowska, Igor Pisuk, Łukasz Rusznica, Wiktoria Wojciechowska, Piotr Zbierski and Sputnik Photos collective.
Piotr Zbierski’s project Push The Sky Away will also be featured at Paris Photo. It consists of an exhibition of photographs and the premiere of a book presenting three photography cycles realised by the artist during the past 10 years. Asymetria Gallery in Warsaw will present an exhibition of works by Jerzy Lewczyński, Yuri Mechitov, Marek Piasecki, and Krzysztof Vorbrodt.
