From 14th to 19th April 2015 at Milan Design Week, MALAFOR will present their latest collection of furniture. The premiere of the Tricity studio’s products will take place in the industrial interior of the Ventura Lambrate festival, known for its presentations of innovative and progressive design. The exhibition is organised as part of the Wystawiajmy się! initiative – a programme organised by the Adam Mickiewicz Institute aimed at designers who’d like to present their works to an international audience at the world’s most important design events.
The newest collection, AIR, is a refined continuation of MALAFOR’s inflatable furniture. This time the inflatable pillows are set on oak frames. The frames have a plain, nearly ascetic form, subdued in construction and function. The inflatable pillows are hidden in colourful cases (in soft grey, sharp yellow, orange and other colours) which are sewn from a very durable, flame-retardant and puncture-resistant fabric which is easy to maintain.

The AIR collection includes an armchair and three kinds of stool: VERTICAL, ZIP and BACK. The armchair from the newest collection is an already known form based an armchair set on a frame made of pipes, this time painted nickel-matte, with cases of new type of fabric, and oak armrests. A distinctive characteristic of this collection is the method of the pillows’ sewing – with coloured stitches and borders, pockets and additional stitches supporting the seats and backrests.
