Podsumowanie
A new exhibition in São Paulo comes as the result of two artist residencies: Brazilian artist Vitor Cesar at the Centre for Contemporary Art Ujazdowski Castle, and Polish artist Karol Radziszewski at Videobrasil.
Content
The residencies were organised by Associação Cultural Videobrasil, which since opening in 1991 has significantly influenced the development of contemporary video art. Videobrasil is one of the biggest festivals focusing on video as well as one of the biggest art collections. During his stay at the CCA, Vitor Cesar created Anfibologia, Tradução, an installation about Warsaw, a city whose space resembles an open archive. Meanwhile, Karol Radziszewski worked with the Videobrasil archives. The result of the two residencies are two individual exhibitions in São Paulo.

Radziszewski's Queer Archives Institute inaugurates his new long-term project, the aim of which is to gather materials and images that document the queer experience in different parts of the world. The project incorporates artistic tools with which Radziszewski is already familiar, having worked extensively with different collections and source materials. The exhibition will include archives from Central and Eastern Europe as well as Brazil, with three works from the Videobrasil collection and the two latest videos by Radziszewski: an interview with João Silvério Trevisan, activist, writer and co-founder of Lampião magazine, and an interview with Laerte, legendary cartoonist and comic strip artist. The exhibition will be accompanied with a screening of Kisieland.
