Aga Zaryan follows in the footsteps of Polish musicians Urszula Dudziak and Michał Urbaniak, who played at the same venue in June.
Zaryan, one of the brightest stars of the youngest generation of jazz vocalists in Poland, has travelled the world. Her particular style - characterised by a warm, matte vocal tone - has been compared to the likes of Shirley Horn, Carmen McRea and Joni Mitchell. In Prague, Zaryan is accompanied by the guitarist David Dorůžka, along with fellow Poles Michał Tokaj on the piano, Michał Barański on double bass and Łukasz Żyta on percussion.
