The event is the largest literary gathering of the kind in Poland, featuring numerous concerts, meetings with authors, poetry contests, slam performances, exhibitions and film screenings. The name refers to the publishing of the "Puls" literary magazine of the democratic opposition published between 1977-1981 in Łódź.
The 4th edition of the festival is the sequel and consistent expansion of the project initiated in 2007 on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the launching of "Puls".
