Don't Panic We're From Poland
Songwriters and producers from Estonia and neighboring countries are invited to join a camp that will develop their musical skills. We’re looking for experienced producers, writers and writer-artists. Ideally each producer will come with prepared ideas. We’re also looking for lead artists (who do not need to participate at the camp) to record & release the song later on. Twenty selected songwriters will have the opportunity to collaborate and create new music together with 10 international professionals. The writers will be divided into 10 teams that include one experienced song-writing mentor and two top regional writers. The teams will work together with recording artists and record the first versions of their songs during the camp. By the end of the two-day recording camp, each team presents as many songs as they have created.
Last year, four artists from Poland took part in the project: Buslav, Paulina Przybysz, Skubas and Krzysztof Zalewski. International writers who have joined the camp have included Robert Callum and James Stewart (from UK), Isabelle Ljunggren, Gustav Svennungsson, Magnus Wallin, Erik Sahlén, Tara Nabavi (from Sweden), Joel Isaksson and Oskar Nyman (Sweden/Finland). Some of the songs that have been written in the camp and released can be heard below:
Rasmus Rändvee - This Love
Laura Prits - Hey Kiddo
Liis Lemsalu - Keep Running
The cost of the camp includes:
- Participation fee
- Accommodation in Tallinn, 27-30 March (suggested arrival time is the afternoon on Monday 27th March)
- Catering during two writing days
- A discount to Tallinn Music Week
To apply, fill out the form HERE.
The application deadline is 22nd February. Participants will be announced within the first weeks of March.
