After Spain, the greatest number of works came from Austria. A large number of the participants were associated with the prestigious Vienna school of visual communication, Die Graphische. The eighty posters in this edition from Italy, historically one of the best-represented countries, are a clear sign of the scope of the biennial competition in this country.
Support from the Savannah College of Art and Design, an academic leader worldwide, had an influence on the noticeable participation of the United States. Participation from other countries in North and South America included original entries from Cuba, which has a long tradition in the history of advertising posters, along with Canada, Argentina, Mexico, Brazil and Colombia. More than seventy posters were sent in from Asia, from countries such as United Arab Emirates, Japan, Sri Lanka, Kirghizstan, China and the Philippines. The African continent was represented by South Africa, while Oceania was represented by Australia.
