The various elements of Judaism are mostly presented as they would have traditionally been classified, in categories such as legends, customs, rites, dress and food. The subject matter of the second area is the history of Jewish settlements on Polish land, organisations of social life, self-administration, Polish-Jewish relations, and, finally, the Holocaust and post-war history. The entries in the third area are generally in the form of profiles or short essays, which deal with the achievements of Polish Jews in science, literature, in theatre and film, in the fine arts and in music.
