Chopin - Pragnienie miłości / Chopin - Desire for Love is about the tumultuous relationship between Frederic Chopin and George Sand, a relationship in which Sand's children, Solange and Maurice, also played an important part.
We wanted to tell this story of Chopin and draw on our own feelings in doing so, said the film's co-writer and director Jerzy Antczak at a press conference. "We wanted to uncover the intimate emotional realms of the brilliant pianist and composer, realms which he hid from all the world.
