Józef Teodor Konrad Korzeniowski (Joseph Conrad),  writer, born on the 3rd of December 1857 in Berdichev (today's Ukraine), died on the 3rd of August 1924 in Oswalds near Canterbury in South-East England. A son to Polish patriots, a man of  three cultures, a great English writer and European.
