The project Iskry (Sparks) by Wiktora Wojciechowska was created in the years 2014-2016 in the Ukraine. The photographer portrayed civilians who took part in the Euromaidan revolution – they fought the pro-Russian separatist in the Eastern and Southern parts of the Ukraine. The project comprises photographs, videos, images from the front, and collages. The author focuses on the human and refrains from narratives typical of press photography. In her work, Wojciechowska has also used materials obtained directly from the fighters: pictures and video recorded by mobile phones.
