The International Mime Art Festival 2013 will feature a performance of Cloakroom by the Wrocław Mime Theatre and the world premiere of the Warsaw Mime Center’s Agua de Lagrimas.
The showcase of mime theatres from all over the world has been organized by the Dramatic Theatre / Teatr Dramatyczny and the Warsaw Mime Center. It is one of the most significant events of the kind in Europe, and the only one in the world to host non-verbal theatre acts only. This year marks its 13th edition.

Cloakroom, based on choreography from the shows of Henryk Tomaszewski, puts the figure of the artist in the spotlight. The creators of this performance attempt to re-create a tradition, but also revise the essence of Tomaszewski’s idea of theatre. The screenplay was written by Zbigniew Szymczyk, who also directed the spectacle, while the choreography was devised by Ewa Czekalska, Leszek Czarnota and Jerzy Kozłowski.
The Warsaw Mime Center with their Agua de Lagrimas make a reference to traditional mime theatre in the style of Marcel Marceau. The performance tells a story of a perfume master and his helper. The actors are Maja Pieczerak, Ewelina Grzechnik, Marta Grądzka, Paweł Kulesza and Bartłomiej Ostapczuk, while Lionel Menard directs.

During the Art of Mime the audience will have an opportunity to attend an evening of contemporary pantomime, or a mime art workshop, led by representatives of various schools of pantomime from all over the world.
All of the festival events will be taking place at the Na Woli Theatre, part of the Dramatic Theatre in Warsaw.
