Gdynia Design Centre, which supports the development of creative industries in Pomorskie district, together with the design group razy2, have selected 12 products from the area. These are from companies located in the Pomorskie Science and Technology Park, Gdynia, such as Aeonform – manufacturer of caskets and urns and winner of the Creative Business Cup 2013, and Flowair heating manufacturer, winner of a Good Design 2013 award. Products by Creme Cycles, Malafor, Group None, Interior Records, Siled, Studio 1:1, and Tabanda will be also presented.
Each of the items will be also presented in the form of a specially formulated food. Food becomes a synthetic representation of the universal characteristics of the object. The exhibition will provide tastes of, for example, the warmth of a heater, the speed of a bike, the light of a street lamp and the comfort of furniture.
The exhibition will be full of products both unique and produced in hundreds, enriching the interior as well as the technical. All are designed by interdisciplinary teams.
The exhibition "Taste of the Object" in Milan will run between 8-13 April 2014, from 10am to 9pm. After Milan Design Week, the works will be presented during the 7th edition of Gdynia Design Days Festival (4-13 July 2014).
