For its third edition, the Mycorial Theatre has moved from a small town in rural Poland to the São Paulo urban jungle, but its focus remains the same: creative collaboration between artists and the close link between art and mycological research. The project’s curators, Paulina Ołowska and Milovan Farronato, have invited such artists as AVAF (featuring Pipa – Comdia de Papel and Yusuf Etiman), Magdalena Bernardes, AnnaBella Geiger, Paloma Bosquê, Adriano Costa, Giulio Delvè, Chiara Fumai, Delia Gonzalez,Justyna Górowska, Lucia Koch, Honorata Martin, Daniele Milvio, Prem Sahib, Augustas Serapinas and Georgina Starr.
They will spent together seven days living in the city centre of São Paulo by the Pivô Gallery, whose exhibition space will become their creative laboratory. The gallery will open this space to the public on 7th September 2016, and the Mycorial Theatre will then present the results of their project. The curators say that the event will be a mix of exhibition, performance, artistic residence, and symposium.
The Mycorial Theatre in São Paulo is part of the Pivô Pesquisa research project.
Culture.pl and the Fiorucci Art Trust are partners of the project.
