The project, Theatre - Dance Classes - Painting consists of a series of events with goals of educational and artistic outreach. Workshops are designed for children, youth, students, teachers, schools and kindergardens, as well as Turkish artists involved in the performing arts. There will be demonstrations as well as street happenings throughout the southeastern Turkish city of Mardin, and the play Pyza na polskich dróżkach will be specifically presented for the younger audiences and families.
Turkish public will have a chance to experience and observe the aesthetics, cultural aspects and uniquely recognizable forms of Polish theatre. The next step is to build a common initiative for future Polish-Turkish collaborations.
Previously, H. Ch. Teatr Andersena team took part in four theater festivals in Turkey (twice in Ankara, also in Mardin and Ordu ) presenting four of their performances. As a result of the collaboration with the Turkish side, the artists decided to extend their activities beyond the parimeters of the festivals. This resulted in two rounds of theater workshops and demonstrations throughout the city of Mardin. At the same time, Teatr Andersena leads a joint performance project with the artistic team of the Municipal Theatre in Istanbul.
Flying Trunk in Lublin
Concurrent with the performances in Turkey, Teatr Andersena also performs in Poland. The Polish-Turkish co-production, Flying Trunk/Uçan Sandık goes on stage on 14 and 15 June, in Lublin, Courtyard of the National Archives (right next to the Lublin Cathedral). The play is performed as part of a series of outdoor performances, starting at 21:00.
The event is recognized within the cultural programme of the 600th anniversary of Polish-Turkish diplomatic relations.
