Young critics and curators from Poland present a vibrant showcase of the most happening phenomena in Polish art, architecture design and sound art at Berlin's Archive Kabinett
"Spoken Exhibitions" are a virtual tour through a wide range of genres and media led by the youngest generation of artists and critics from Poland. The first stop on the project's European Tour was Brussels, with an evening hosted by the Wiels Centre on the 28th of August, 2011.
Grzegorz Piątek and Jarosław Trybuś (Golden Lion for best national participation at Venice Biennale 2008) Sebastian Cichocki (chief curator at Warsaw's Museum of Modern Art, curator of the Polish Pavilion at the Venice Biennale 2011) and Michał Libera (historian, critic and theorist of music) present an overview of the current art scene in Poland, with references to the groundbreaking currents in the Polish culture and art of the second half of the 20th century, in a radio play format that engages listeners in a debate on the state of Polish art.
Archive Kabinett is the headquarters of Archive Books and Archive Journal. The institution is devoted to research and reflection on artistic, social, and political practices. Archive Kabinett aims to translate, organise and distribute theoretical and critical materials on its findings and interdisciplinary research.
