RGG Trio's contemplative, sonoristic music has made them one of the most acclaimed and subtle jazz formations of the young generation.Since the year 2001 the RGG Trio has been more and more idenified with the European taste of improvised music. From 2013, after 12 years of RGG’s existence, the pianist Przemysław Raminiak has been replaced by Łukasz Ojdana, a young talented artist, who made the trio breathe deeper.
The name RGG no longer remains an acronym for the musicians' surnames, but it remains a trademark for a significant representative of contemporary Polish acoustic jazz.
RGG recorded their latest album Szymanowski, a set of pieces very much influenced by music associated with the famous ECM recording label. It is contemplative music, full of space and delicate illustrations, rather loosely related to the works of Karol Szymanowski: preludes, mazurkas and variations.
The event is organized as part of the 2014 cultural programme, celebrating the 600th anniversary of Polish-Turkish diplomatic relations. To view our calendar of events, visit http://turkiye.culture.pl/en/events
