In late September 2016, Magdalena Tomaszewska-Bolałek had the pleasure to introduce Polish cuisine in China, at the invitation of the Polish Consulate General in Guangzhou, Polish Institute in Beijing and the Polish Embassy in Beijing.

In Guangzhou Magdalena Tomaszewska-Bolałek presented Polish culinary traditions at the Food Hospitality World China, held a meeting with students of the Guangdong University of Foreign Studies and conducted culinary workshops for children and adults in the Canton Club. In Beijing, she gave a lecture entitled Gourmet Master for journalists and Polish cuisine experts in the Polish Embassy. The programme of events also included cooking with Chinese culinary experts and chefs, as well as Polish cuisine workshops at the Zanghonghua Restaurant. The series of events presenting Polish cuisine was preceded by the presentation of Magdalena Tomaszewska-Bolałek's book Polish Culinary Paths at the Beijing International Book Fair 2016 last August. During the presentetion, which was attended by about 200 people, the employees of the Polish Institute in Beijing talked about Polish apples and preapred the traditional Polish apple pie on the spot. The book, which has been translated to Chinese, is also introduced in the brochure Books from Poland, published by the Polish Institute – Culture Service of the Polish Embassy in Beijing.
