For nine years, in the second half of August, unique space of the church in the town of Paradyż has been filled up with audience coming from all parts of Poland and from all corners of the "baroque" world.
Character of the festival is highly influenced by the place which not only has given it the name (Paradyż = Paradisus = Paradise), but was one of the main reasons for creating it. Even more important are the people - hosts of the monastery, particularly hospitable and open to new ideas which help to promote this unique place - a pearl of the baroque architecture in Western Poland. And of course, musicians – top early music performers, mainly of younger generation.
Festival "Music in Paradise" consciously stays apart from big, speeded up cultural centers aiming at giving us an opportunity to find some time for ourselves and for reflection. Music and the art of its performing practice discover their true meaning – not a goal for its own sake but an intermediary and a guide.
