Jan Krzysztof Broja
The National Edition of the Works of Fryderyk Chopin is a unique, complete collection of the Polish composer's works that may become a primary resource for both sudents and teachers as well as music enthusiasts.
The National Edition, put together by Professor Jan Ekier covers a 50 year period and was released to coincide with the "International Chopin Year 2010".
Poland's spectacular cultural accomplishment was promoted during a seminar on the "Role of the Text in Contemporary Artist's Practise", led by co-editor Paweł Kamiński, as well as a series of concerts presenting all of Chopin's chamber works performed by acclaimed Polish musicians Andrzej Bauer, Jakub Jakowicz and Jan Krzysztof Broja.
The London event's invited guests included members of the Chopin Society UK and other music fans affiliated with the Royal Academy of Music and Royal College of Music, as well as distribution representatives of the National Edition in Great Britain. The promotion of the National Edition was coordinated by the Polish Cultural Institute in London, the Chopin Society UK and 'Polskie Wydawnictwo Muzyczne' / 'PMW Edition'.
