Seoul, 8-30.08.2012
In August the Korea Foundation Gallery in Seoul hosted an exhibition entitled "Unpolished - Young Design from Poland", presenting works of young Polish designers.
The exhibition was accompanied by film screenings and lectures on Polish art and design carried out by one of the exhibition's curators, Agnieszka Jacobson-Cielecka and designer Agnieszka Bar. It was a subsequent presentation of works by Polish designers, previously displayed at the prestigious design fairs in Milan, Berlin, Paris, Hong Kong and Kopenhagen, where they had attracted large interest of the visitors and the media. The exhibition was shown at the Korea Foundation Gallery - a modern exhibition space in the Korea Foundation's building located in the very center of Seoul.
The Korea Foundation is an organisation connected to the Korean Ministry of Foreign Affairs, with the aim of promoting the country's image abroad, as well as supporting academic and cultural exchange programmes, by - among others - founding scholarship stays in Korea for university students and scientific researchers from over the world.
