The opening was marked by a "SINFONIA IUVENTUS" orchestra concert, co-produced by the Society of Authors ZAiKS.
The programme of the concert consisted of Krzysztof Penderecki's works and works by other young composers, Weronika Ratusińska and Dariusz Przybylski – members of the project Young Composers’ Homage to Fryderyk Chopin.
Between 2007 and 2010, the CENTRE, in cooperation with the Polish Composers’ Union, the French Embassy, the “Villa Decjusza” Association and the National Audiovisual Institute, supported over 13 composers. The main goal has been to guide the artist through various stages of promotion, from professional performance of their pieces to publishing a recording.
The Polish SINFONIA IUVENTUS Orchestra, established by The Minister of Culture and National Heritage in 2007, accepted the invitation to participate in the concert. The programme included the Concerto for Cello and Symphony Orchestra by Weronika Ratusińska, with Professor Tomasz Strahl as soloist, the “Oneiros” Concerto for Violin and String Orchestra by Dariusz Przybylski, with Janusz Wawrowski as soloist, and Symphony No. II by Krzysztof Penderecki, who will conduct the concert himself.
