The Green Door Store specials
Don’t Panic! We’re from Poland will follow on from 2013’s success as the international focus of The Great Escape by returning with a new set of bands on Saturday 10th May 2014 at The Green Door Store from 1:30pm. Bokka, Rebeka, and The Dumplings will perform in an showcase of Poland’s best and freshest musical talents.
Bokka
Bokka’s true identities are kept secret behind their masks. What is known is that the trio is formed of three award-winning Polish musicians who are exploring their craft through a new and mysterious guise. Fittingly, Bokka’s music is a cinematic, dreamy mix of indie and electronic sounds.

Rebeka
The title of ‘Polish Album of the Year 2013’ is proudly held by the duo Rebeka. Iwona Skwarek and Bartosz Szczęsny use an array of ‘80s analog synths, toy instruments, and guitars to make boisterous alternative pop.
The Dumplings
Another duo joining the Don’t Panic! We’re from Poland line-up are The Dumplings. The teenage pair are somewhat of an internet sensation in their native country, capturing hearts with a melancholy take on electro-pop.
Xxanaxx at The Queen’s Hotel
Elsewhere on The Great Escape’s line up are Warsaw’s Xxanaxx. Formed in 2012, after singer Klaudia Szafrańska appeared on the Polish edition of the X Factor and subsequently met producer Michał Wasilewski, aka Lance Flare, the two bonded over a love of Roland TR 808 drums and chillwave electronica. They will play The Queen’s Hotel on Thursday 8th May at 8:30pm.
