The Symphonic Orchestra of the Zielonogórska Philharmonic have performed two September concerts in Minsk, including works by Henryk Wieniawski and Stanisław Moniuszko
Musicians from the Symphonic Orchestra of the Zielonogórska Philharmonic performed alongside the Radio and Television Orchestra of the Republic of Belarus. The concerts were conducted by Zielonogórska Philharmonic conductor Czesław Grabowski. The concerts also emphasised the collaboration between Poland the the Belarussian Orchestra. Anna Maria Staśkiewicz, one of the most talented violinists from the younger generation of Polish artists, took part as a soloist in the concerts.
The programme of the first concert, which took place on the 20th of September, included "II Violin Concert d-moll" by Henryk Wieniawski as well as Tchaikowski's "V Symphony". On the 22nd of September musicians performed a concert version of the opera "Paria" by Stanisław Moniuszko, Antoni Dworza's "IX Symphony" and the "II Violin Concert d-moll" by Wieniawski.
