This summer, Breakthru Films brings Chopin into the 21st Century screen through their latest 3D animation project
BreakThru Films (producers of the Oscar-winning Peter & the Wolf) is developing an extraordinary film project inspired by the music of Fryderyk Chopin in cooperation with artists from the Se-Ma-For Studios in Łódź. The film combines animation with live action shots to create its characteristic visuals. In addition to the 85-minute film, the project also foresees the production of 24 animated shorts.
"Our intention is to make a film for a family audience; we believe that by employing modern means, we will manage to effectively reach young viewers around the world", the producers stated in a recent interview.
"Projekt Chopin" is intended to serve as an educational platform which promotes vital social and cultural values through entertainment. The film is addressed mainly at children and young people, although it will surely appeal to adults too.
