The event will also feature an exhibition of Italian photographer Romano Martinis, who documented the works of Tadeusz Kantor and Cricot2 Theatre for over two decades. Martinis will introduce the audience to Kantor's world, as seen from the perspective of a friend and an observer of the artist’s work on each of his plays.
Remarkable Romanian theatrologist Georges Banu and Jagiellonian University professor Krzysztof Pleśniarowicz, author of numerous publications about Kantor’s works, will lead the Kantor Today talk to discuss and understand the artist’s plays. The programme also includes screenings of the recordings of the following plays: The Dead Class, Wielopole, Wielopole and the last, unfinished play Today Is My Birthday.
The project is co-organised by the ClassFest International Festival of Theatre and Film Schools in Chişinău, Reflex3 International Theatre Festival in Sf. Gheorghe, The Babes-Bolyai University in Cluj-Napoca and Academy of Music, Theatre and Fine Arts (AMTAP) in Chişinău in co-operation with the Polish Institute in Bucharest.
