The twelfth edition of the International Book Fair in Vilnius centres around the life and work of Nobel winner on the centennial anniversary of his birth
The literary tribute to
Czesław Miłosz is among the principal activities during Lithuania's tribute to the poet and writer. A number of eminent Polish literary experts come to Vilnius for the event, including Professor Aleksander Fiut, Agnieszka Kosińska and Jerzy Illg, hosting presentations and talks, supplemented by concerts, recitals and screenings of film adaptations based on Miłosz's works.
The Polish Book Institute - Instytut Książki - and the Polish Institute in Vilnius represent Poland at the fair, promoting the most promising novelties on the Polish market, along with international editions of books by Miłosz.
On February 19, Professor Andrzej Szczeklik promotes the Lithuanian edition of his book Kore, nominated for the 2008 Nike Prize.
