His wide musical interests in classical style, jazz, composing and conducting encouraged him to search for his own musical language not only in his playing but also in his composing and improvisation.     A pianist and graduate of the Karol Szymanowski Secondary School of Music in Warsaw. For many years, together with his younger brother, a violinist, he has been a member of Mateusz Smoczyński’s Quintet, with which he recorded the albums Inspirations and Expressions.     Wierba stands out from the rest of the young Polish musicians. While lately we have been observing a free jazz improvisation boom, Wierba has chosen to play mainstream jazz. Although in his performances there is room for a wild free, a hard-bop imprint is clearly heard. The other characteristic of his music is a reference to the tradition of Polish classical music.
