Górowska attended the renowned Antoni Kenar Art High School in Zakopane (2004–2008). She graduated from the Intermedia Faculty at the Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków (2008-2014), and in 2015, she became a PhD candidate the Multimedia Communication Faculty at the University of Arts in Poznań. She won the first prize in the 7th edition of the Samsung Art Master competition at the CCA Ujazdowski Castle in Warsaw (2010) and Grand Prix at the Festival of Young Arts 'Przeciąg' in Szczecin (2011). In a text accompanying her work entitled Post_Avangard Survival Guide, the artist writes:
My first encounter with contemporary art immediately showed me the importance of human relations in it […], burying time capsules together, searching for portals, playing naughty games with dogs, and many more. For me, art became a playground, in its uninhibited search for meanings and a magical reconstruction of reality.
Górowska is a board member of the Intermedia Art Development Foundation and recipient of a scholarship from the Polish Ministry of Culture and National Heritage (2011, 2013). In 2014, she joined the gallery lokal_30 in Warsaw. In an interview for gp24.pl Justyna Górowska stated:
I get inspired by the everyday, the day to day experience. I think that too often we take an ordinary day, throughout which we ritualistically repeat certain actions, for granted. In my opinion, those everyday pragmatics carry something unexpected, hide an element of surprise.
Her works have been presented in major art institutions, at international art fairs and festivals, for instance at CCA Ujazdowski Castle in Warsaw, Centre of Polish Sculpture in Orońsko, Leonardo da Vinci Museum in Milan, National Gallery of Indonesia in Jakarta, and at MOCAK in Kraków, as well as at the Inspirations Festival in Szczecin and the International Performance Festival RIAP in Quebec.
