How How's music is ideally suited to being combined with images to illustrate a film or a theatrical play. The artists themselves say that they play "electroacoustic free pop". This term, however, should be regarded as describing a list of ingredients rather than the final effect.
How How definitely doesn’t play pop songs, but it’d be a mistake to call this band a group of improvisers. They gracefully evade being pigeon-holed. They create clear, crystalline, ambient impressions. The more coherent compositions, in which faint vocals appear, bring to mind Iceland’s Mum with its melancholy, innocence and melodious rhythmic simplicity. On the other hand, the tracks that feature more minimalist guitar and live drums than electronics belong to the genre of post rock and are similar to the calmest of Kristen's tracks.
How How was founded by guitarist Miron Grzegorzkiewicz and keyboardist Adam Podniesiński. The other two members are drummer Filip Madejski and saxophonist Mateusz Franczak, who also plays with Grzegorzkiewicz in the great jazz-rock band Daktari. The more sparingly the musicians play, the greater the impression their music makes. How How is a group that appeals for attention and calm – definitely a night band.
