Agata Miklaszewska is a novelist and author of librettos
She graduated from the Department of Polish Studies at Warsaw University. She made her music theatre debut in 1991 as a co-author (with her sister Maryna Miklaszewska) of the musical Metro, which has won a nomination for the prestigious Tony Award in the United States and has had a successful run in Warsaw for over two decades.
She also has to her credit the librettos to the musicals Kai and Gerda, A Little Princess, Romeo and Juliet and Polita (based on the life and career of the film star Pola Negri).
She has published the novel Kamyk (The Stone) and a collection of short stories Huśtawka (See-saw). She lives and works in Warsaw.
