For the first time ever, a Polish music video has qualified for the SXSW Film Festival in Austin, Texas. The clip for the BOKKA’s song Answer Me will be screened alongside music videos the likes of Beyonce’s Formation.

The SXSW Film Festival runs simultaneously with SXSW Interactive and SXSW Music. The festival celebrates innovation and emerging talent both behind and in front of the camera. Now in its 24th year, the 2017 Film Festival will host nine days of screenings from 10th-18th March 2017, filled with feature films, documentaries, independent films, comedies, animation, shorts, as well as music videos. Awards are presented to a film from each category.

For the first time in its history, a Polish music video has not only qualified for the SXSW Film Festival but has also been nominated for the SXSW Film Awards. The clip for BOKKA’s song Answer Me, directed by Katarzyna Sawicka, has been nominated alongside such phenomenal clips as DJ Shadow and Run The Jewels’ Nobody Speak, Beyonce’s Formation and Tame Impala’s The Less I Know The Better.

Award winners will be announced during a ceremony on 14th March.
