Polish Films at Sundance Film Festival
Two films directed by Poles will take part in World Cinema Dramatic Competition and World Cinema Documentary Competition at the Sundance Film Festival 2016. Amongst the 65 films competing, the Polish entries are the feature The Lure by Agnieszka Smoczyńska and the documentary All These Sleepless Nights by Michał Marczak.
The Lure is a story about two mermaid sisters who work at a night club in Warsaw during the 1980s. Their lives require bloodthirsty decisions when one of them falls in love with a young handsome man.
All These Sleepless Nights is a Polish-British co-production making its world premiere at the Sundance Film Festival. In the film, the director of Fuck for Forest tells the intimate story of two people in their 20s as they wander through the streets, clubs and flats of Warsaw.
Established in 1979, the Sundance Film Festival is the biggest and most renowned festival for independent film in the world. In 2016, Sundance will take place from 21st to 31st January in Park City, Utah.
