Poland. Come and Complain is among the seven nominees in the category of campaigns by public institutions. Of the 93 projects submitted by companies, non-governmental organizations, and advertising, government and public relations agencies, 36 were nominated by the jury for the title of Social Campaign of the Year 2013. Winners will be announced at a Gala on 7th May at the Kamienica Theatre.
Poland. Come and Complain is a campaign depicting the most important achievements of Polish cinema, literature and sports. Its heroes are Poles from different social groups – including a taxi driver, a businesswomen, a lecturer and a young waitress. Apart from their nationality, they also have in common the ability to complain – something which could even constitute a point of national pride
In subsequent films in the Poland. Come and Complain series, complaining Poles bring up the topics of famous Polish climbers, Stanisław Lem’s success, the false stereotype of Polish alcoholism and the strength of the Polish economy.
This year’s Social Campaign of the Year competition is the sixth edition of this award.
With each edition, the jurors' appetite for effective, well-planned campaigns grows. Therefore, this year’s deliberations were extremely turbulent. Not all discussions ended with a compromise - says Paweł Prochenko, the chairman of the jury.
Like every year, the best campaign in the Socially Engaged Events category was chosen by Internet users through the kampaniespoleczne.pl portal. The international jury chose the best campaign abroad in the World category. The winners of these categories will also be announced at the Gala.
